Quick Tips

Just one week until our session!

Here are a couple of Quick Tips to help you prepare and make the most of the experience

OUTFIT PREP

Lay out your planned outfits ahead of time. Put wrinkled items in the dryer, then hang everything up. Place any accessories, jewelry, hats, and extras in a bag with your clothes so nothing gets forgotten.

LAST MINUTE DETAILS

Check for things like chipped nail polish or temporary tattoos on siblings so you won’t be rushing to fix them on session day.

SCREEN TIME

If you have little ones - I know screens can be a lifesaver but I strongly recommend leaving screens until AFTER the session for toddlers and young kids. I’ve seen screens lead to meltdowns when it’s time to put them away. Feel free to use them once the little ones are done with their photos… or even use it as a bribe for cooperative behavior during the session (if you want!) :)

MOM PRO-TIP

Here’s a trick I learned firsthand - get yourself ready first and early! It’s much easier to prepare yourself before the little ones. Give yourself extra time, too. This approach helps keep the day relaxed and enjoyable.

FULL TUMMIES

If you’re a mom of little ones, you already know this, but sometimes on days when everyone’s busy getting ready, I know it can easily be forgotten. But we both know when kids have a snack or meal in their tummies, it usually helps them to be more willing to participate (because if yours are anything like mine… when they’re hangry, it’s not pretty!).

I’ll send over a few last tips a couple of days before our session! I’m getting excited!!
